OSK FOUNDATION AWARDS FULL SCHOLARSHIPS TO FOUR STUDENTS FROM TAR UC

OSK Foundation (OSKF) recently awarded OSK Foundation Scholarship to four engineering diploma students from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College(TAR UC).

This full scholarship programme is the first of its kind by OSKF to deserving students. Apart from providing full tuition fees throughout their Diploma courses, the scholarship also provides monthly living allowance in support of their financial need. Interestingly, the recipients are also required to undergo a minimum of 20 hours of community volunteering service each semester with the objective of moulding their character into well-rounded individuals.

The scholarships were presented to the students by our Executive Chairman Tan Sri Ong Leong Huat, at a special ceremony here in Plaza OSK. Also present was Cheryl Ong, Chief Executive Officer of OSK Foundation and representatives from TAR UC led by Dr Chook Ka Joo, Vice President of Student Affairs and Quality Assurance. Speaking at the award presentation ceremony, Cheryl said, “We are glad to be able to partner with TAR UC inproviding scholarships to deserving students. This is our first batch of student, and it is OSK Foundation’s hope that through this scholarship initiative, we can contribute and grow a network of young professionals who will eventually be valuable assets to their families, communities and country.” Through this initiative, OSKF believes deserving achievers should not be constrained by lack of financial means to excel.
