OSK FOUNDATION CLOSES THE GAP

There is no doubt that a good education unlocks opportunities later in life. In closing the gap between the most affluent and most disadvantaged students, OSK Foundation through Closing the Gap, sponsors the 2nd cohort of 31 bright students from disadvantaged families to achieve the possibility of higher education through mentoring programs.

The 3-year mentor-mentee programme is a brainchild of Teach For Malaysia (TFM) alumni members who co-founded Closing the Gap; a non-profit organisation aims at addressing issues within their communities that affect education inequity. The programmewhich is divided into four phases, builds strong relationship between mentor and mentee, provides personalised support to mentees in identifying their interests, and expose them to opportunities.During the launch recently, our Group Managing Director, Ong Ju Yan shared his life story and the importance of better education with the students. Held at Ruang, Central Market, mentors and mentees were thrilled to be part of OSKF in this journey.
